Are you interested in how things used to be and what life was like in our backcountry years ago?  Come spend the afternoon with long time Kooskia resident Jim Renshaw as he shares stories of his life in the Selway backcountry.
The Friends of  the Kooskia Community Library are hosting an exciting opportunity to learn from a treasured community member! Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 24th at 1:00 pm at the Kooskia Community Center.
As a two month old, in 1932, Jim traveled with his family deep into the Selway River country spending many years living a life many only think about.  Jim will share stories of adventures in the mountains he knew so well and give us a glimpse of what life was like before modern conveniences.  Jim’s talk will be illustrated with photos from the Renshaw collection shown on the big screen.
The Kooskia Community Library will be open from noon until 2:30 for kids to do crafts while parents are in the presentation. Refreshments will be provided.
