February events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
The sunshine is coming!  As we look toward the promise of warmer days are hearts fill will hope. Hope is the greatest gift for our future.  We can move forward knowing that there is always something more around the corner.  Jesus is the hope that truly gives us life! As we gather together in February as a youth group in the name of Jesus, we strive to build upon this hope and move out in active response in all that we do!
We will begin this month with a high school girls’ session on “friendship”. Our night of Radiance will start at 6:30 on Feb. 3rd at the OMG room with food, followed by our session at 7:00 p.m.  Girls invite your friends and let’s dig into the meaning of friendship as women of God!
On Friday Feb. 4th everyone is invited to spend time in Adoration as we gather to praise the Lord, reflect on His word, ask for our intentions and yield to his answers.  Prayer is powerful and by spending time with Jesus, you grow in Him and Him in you!
On Saturday, Feb. 5th the Jamacia team will meet at the Prairie Elementary School cafeteria to make cinnamon rolls at 10:00 a.m. Please remember to bring an apron and have your hair back as we will be become master chefs for the day!  Thank you, Cara Duman, for being our mighty cooking instructor!  If you ordered cinnamon rolls, they can be picked up in the Sacred Heart Room at St. Mary’s between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Feb. 6th.   Thank you so much for your support for our Jamacia mission trip!
Confirmation class will be taking place at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m. on February 6th.  Please have your Saint Reports done!  You can also turn in ICYC forms to Debbie on this day!
On Feb. 7th the High School “Encounter “group will meet for food at 6:30 at the OMG room, followed by the session on, “lies and truths” in our lives.
Debbie will be attending a deanery meeting in Kamiah on Feb. 8th.
On Feb. 9th the Coffee and Jesus group will meet at 3:30 at the Habit.
Happy Valentines Day to everyone on Feb. 14th. Please know that no matter who you are, where you are in life or what life is dealing you that there is a God who loves you more than you will ever know!  Stand strong in this love for it is truth beyond our understanding!
All ICYC forms are due by Feb. 10th to Debbie.  I need to get you registered so please bring them to me or hand them in at the Church office or put them in the drop box on the front porch of the office.
I will be having a Safe Environment meeting on Feb. 16th for anyone who needs to renew or get their certification for the year.  I will be hosting this at St. Mary’s office at 7:00 p.m.
I will be attending the district games and state for boys basketball and do not know the dates yet so some of my dates and plans may change during the last two weeks of Feb.  I have talked to Michael Rehder and we have set up a night of praise and worship along with Adoration and a social on Feb. 23rd at St. Mary’s Church.  This time is set aside for our Jr. High and High School youth.  We will have food and social time from 5:00 to 6:00 and Adoration along with music from 7:00 to 8:00. I am asking you to bring you prayers, heart, needs and intentions to this night of prayer.  It will be a time for you to quietly and spiritually grow in your relationship with God as you encounter him in Adoration.
I will be gone during the weekend of Feb. 25th -27th for the Hallisey tournament in Boise.
The last week of Feb. I have left open for boy’s state.  I have a grandson playing and definitely want to be a part of his journey if it happens.  I am praying for all teams and my heart is grateful for all the talent on all the teams from our area heading to state.  I am so proud of all of you!
With much love and gratitude,
