Kyle Schwartz  and Maddie Pecarovich are the December Students of the Month at Prairie High School. Kyle was nominated by Mr. Young and Mrs. Workman. Mr. Young states that Kyle is quiet and respectful, but what impresses me the most is his effort to include others. He goes out of his way to acknowledge and include those students who are normally on the periphery and are often left out by their fellow classmates. He's a genuinely nice guy and a pretty good student, too. Mrs. Workman states always polite and a great student on top of that. He is an asset to our school. Maddie was nominated by Mrs. Cash, who states that Madison is responsible, kind, and hardworking. She is a role model to all. Photo by Jon Rehder. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Marji Remacle competed with her Bronze team at the Palouse Invitational in Moscow, ID, on 02/02/19.   She participated in the early 8:00 am session and came in second with a 36.45 overall score. She earned herself an additional sweet treat (a giant lollipop) for having the highest score on vault - 9.3. Rounding out the score was another 9.3 on bar (second highest score), 9.0 on beam (second highest score), and an 8.85 on floor (fourth). Her team also scored first and they received a pizza-sized cookie to share at their next practice.  This was Marji’s second competition and she increased her overall score by a 1/10 of a point. Click on the photo for a larger view.
