The Idaho County Republican Central Committee hosted its 2026 Annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, February 7, at the Grangeville Elks Lodge, drawing a full house in a strong show of local engagement and support.
Sixteen (16) sponsored tables were purchased by businesses and families from across Idaho County, alongside numerous couple and single-ticket attendees, creating a lively, capacity crowd. The evening served as both a celebration of community involvement and a key fundraising effort supporting the committee’s ongoing civic activities.
Special guests added to the significance of the event. U.S. Senator Jim Risch attended and addressed the packed audience. Idaho Speaker of the House Mike Moyle served as Keynote Speaker for the evening.  Superintendent of Public Instruction Debbie Critchfield and other Idaho State dignitaries attended the festive evening as well.
A highlight of the night was a large prize drawing featuring a wide range of donated items. Attendees placed tickets into item-specific containers for chances to win merchandise and specialty goods generously contributed by local supporters.
A live auction and drawings of donation winners generated enthusiastic participation, featuring firearms, sporting equipment, optics, and other varying high-value items. Adding a fun twist, twelve homemade desserts were auctioned to eager bidders. Each winning bidder received a “key” for a chance to unlock the evening’s grand prize: a premium rifle (Professional Hunter 3) from Seekins Precision of Lewiston, ID.
Organizers expressed deep gratitude to Idaho County businesses and residents for their attendance and support. Special appreciation is mentioned to “Taste of Art” for a delicious catered dinner, and also for outstanding efforts throughout the event by Kamiah-area homeschool students and Grangeville High School Turning Point USA Chapter students who assisted guests throughout the evening, as well as the many volunteers whose hard work made the event possible.
“It was a fun night and a wonderful example of community involvement,” organizers shared.
