To the Library and Beyond
Prairie Community Library volunteers are now looking forward to beginning our return move to the Community Hall soon.  We still have some important opportunities for anyone who wants to help with moving furniture and books from the storage containers to the Community Hall.  You can volunteer to help by sending an email to cottonwoodlib@gmail.com.  You can gain a year of free borrowing for a family of your choice.
We continue our month of recognition of American Red Cross, Music In Our Schools, National Nutrition, Read Across America, Women’s History and Youth Arts.
Sunday, March 10 we Begin Daylight Savings Time.  Thursday, March 14 - 3.14 – is Pi Day and National Write Your Story Day.  Don’t wait another minute if you haven’t already begun writing your story.  Write a story about your relationship with Pi.
We observe Freedom of Information (FOI) Day on March 16, the birthday of James Madison; considered the Father of the Constitution, he encouraged transparency in government.
Prairie Community Library statistics:  2,075 people visited the Library in 2021; in 2022 librarians loaned 1,518 children’s items alone, in addition to the many general items loaned that year.
Volunteering is a great way to serve your community!  Please volunteer by email to cottonwoodlib@gmail.com.  Thank you!
