| Pirates win 1 of 4 The Prairie baseball team played a pair of
doubleheaders this past week. On Tuesday, April 16, they traveled to
Genesee where they split a doubleheader winning the first game 17-2 and
losing the second 10-13. On Saturday, April 20, they traveled to
Lewiston and lost twice to Troy, 6-12 and 7-17.

3 games this past week. On Tuesday, April 16 they had their first home
game and lost to Genesee 3-21 in 3 innings. On Friday, April 19, they

they traveled to Genesee and lost 0-15.

Congratulations to AnnaMae
Cummings, 7th grade student at St. John Bosco Academy. AnnaMae
placed 10th nationally in the VFW Patriots Pen competition. Her
10th place award came with a $1,500 check. After her previous
awards at the local and state level, she has earned a total of $2,600
for her essay. AnnaMae was presented with her award at a school
assembly on Monday. In attendance from the VFW were Dale McElroy,
Dave Frei, Scott Paulsen, Joe Riener and Lee Hartwig.Pictured is
