The Cottonwood VFW and American Legion will conduct Memorial day services on May 25, 2026 at the Ferdinand cemetery at 10:00 AM, followed by services at the Keuterville cemetery. 
All Veterans are invited to join our honor guard in remembering our fallen heroes.   The dress code for all Veterans is any military, VFW, American Legion or other service hat,  white collared shirt, black trousers, and black shoes.  We will say a special prayer, lay a Wreath, read In Flanders Field,  fire a rifle volley, play Taps and read the names of the fallen service members in each cemetery. 
In keeping with our bi-annual rotation, we will perform in Ferdinand and Keuterville this year, and next year we'll perform at Greencreek and both Cottonwood cemeteries. 
VFW Post 4902 and American Legion post 40 members invite all citizens to observe our solemn remembrance ceremony.
