This past weekend the Cottonwood City Crew and Volunteer Firemen placed sandbags and barricades downtown for flood mitigation as Cottonwood Creek rose due to rainwater runoff. They have also placed sandbags in other parts of town subject to flooding. They have been left in place due to more expected rain. Click on each photo for a larger view.

Garrett Street between King and Lewiston Streets was closed due to flooding. The stream shown running down the street covered most of the street when it was closed to traffic. Click on each photo for a larger view.

A lot of work has been done on the old Royale Hotel building in downtown Cottonwood. The large windows in front are basically windowed garage doors that can be rolled up. Picture at right is a closeup of the sign at the lower left stating that Ethos Fitness will be coming soon to the main level. We understand the upstairs may be leased out as office space. Click on each photo for a larger view.

Riley Enneking had the Grand Champion Quality Market Beef Steer at the Spring Show. Photo by Susie Heckman. See article above left for results from the show and more photos. Click on the photo for a larger view.
