named woman of the year
Connie Uhlenkott of Greencreek has been selected as the 2003 District 5 Woman of the Year for the Idaho Farm Bureau organization. She was chosen because  of
her involvement in the everyday operations of the farm that she and her
husband Pat have owned and operated for the last 27 years.
The Uhlenkotts primarily raise wheat, barley, canola and lentils as well as a cow/calf operation along with feeder steers. Theirs is the typical farm/ranch with a milk cow, some horses, cats and dogs. Pat and Connie are the parents of three boys and two girls. Their wish is to someday have some of the children return to take over the family farm. Connie was chosen for the award she received because she has been an active partner with Pat, driving truck, tractor or combine, hauling hay, and planting trees, and all the other endless jobs on the farm. Idaho Farm Bureau District 5 includes all the counties from Riggins in Idaho County to the Canadian border.
