team takes team title
The Prairie girls track team took the team title at a 7-school track meet Thursday at Kamiah with 7 first place finishes. 
Vanessa Sonnen led the way with 2 individual titles plus anchoring the winning 4x100 relay team. Sonnen won the high jump at 4’5”, the 100 meter dash in 13.3 seconds and was third in the 200 in 30.4. The relay team of Tabitha Sonnen, Lauren Merrill, Nicole Nida and Vanessa Sonnen took first in 55.6. Tabitha Sonnen was also a multiple winner, taking first in the 100 meter hurdles in 18.2 while also participating in the winning 4x100 and medley relays. The medley team of Bridget Enneking, Tabitha Sonnen, Merrill and Nida took first in 2:08.8. Enneking took first in the 800 in 2:52.2, coming on at the finish to take the win at the tape. Merrill took first in the long jump with a leadp of 14’2”. Nida was second in the 100 in 13.6. Prairie took second in the 4x200 relay as Nida, Allison Jones, Merrill and Tabitha Sonnen ran a time of 1:59.1. Briget Long took second in the pole vault at 5’6”. Jones was second in the high jump at 4’4”. The Prairie boys team took 6th place out of 7 schools but had no top 3 finishers.
