Prairie Elementary named one of Idaho's most innovative schools
The Idaho Education Association is pleased to name Prairie Elementary School one of Idaho’s most innovative schools.    Janet Richardson, president of the Prairie Education Association, announced that Prairie Elementary will be honored in a ceremony on May 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the elementary school gym.  Everyone is invited to attend.
“We are very proud of the staff and students at this school,” Richardson said.  “We also want to recognize the parents of the students at Prairie Elementary School.  They are vital to the success of their children and of the school.  Their cooperation and involvement help make this award possible.”
Richardson said the IEA award also reflects positively on the community and school district.  “We appreciate the commitment and support the public regularly demonstrates for our schools,” she said.
Prairie Elementary students continue to score well on all statewide tests.  Our students are required to participate in the Direct Math Assessment, Idaho Reading Indicator, and the Idaho Standardized Achievement Tests.  Tests results are sent to parents as well as shared at conferences.
Prairie Elementary School faculty and staff are honored to receive this “A+ Excellence in Education” Award for the second consecutive year.
The State Board of Education accredited Prairie Elementary School with Merit earlier this year.
