31 to graduate
Commencement exercises for 30 Prairie High School seniors are set for this Friday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the PHS gym.
The class of 2004 will be led by co-valedictorians Matt Baerlocher and Kari Schumacher and salutatorian Maureen Tacke.
There are two additional students who will be graduating with high honors (3.5 and above grade point average). They are Shane Doyle and Whitney Schaeffer.
Ten students will be graduating with honors (3.0-3.49 gpa). They are Mindy Anderson, Tyler Crane, Alison Forsmann, Brent Frei, Kayla Holthaus, Jacob Nuxoll, Mandi Tidwell, Brently Uhlorn, Lacey Wargi and Karel Wassmuth.
Rounding out the class of 2004 are Annette Allen, Silvia Bennett, Jake Chaffee, Ingrid Dahlen, Jessica Enneking, Megan Fuzzell, John Gehring, Jeramie Hanson, Maurizio Henau, Bryan Hoffman, Alex Matson, James Nida, Joseph Peneku, Scott Schacher, Angela Schumacher and Lacey Sonnen.
This year’s commencement speaker will be Bruce Nuxoll, a teacher at Prairie High School. 
The class flower is the rose and the class colors are chrome and black.
The class song is “Red Dirt Road” by Brooks & Dunn.
The class motto is “We can not discover new oceans unless we have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
