Blood Drive set for July 1
As we are sure, many of you are already thinking about the summer blood drive which will be July 1 from noon until 6 p.m. at the Cottonwood Hall.
This is a very important drive because summer time is a hard time to get donors to give up their time and come and donate. But...the need for blood is constant, even more so in the summer. It seems that the vacation times are also dangerous times. We are sure that many of you can think of someone you know that has had need of blood in the past and certainly we all are  aware of friends and relative that will be needing some in the future.
WE fell a bit short of our goal last April. And are hoping that we can make it this time. It is important to do your best to keep your appointment because those in need are counting on YOU. WE really do need new faces this time. It is a very easy task to donate blood. Takes about an hour and then you are treated to our fabulous donuts and maple bars. Just a  reminder, an ID is needed before you can donate, such as your Driver's license or Social Security card, etc.
So remember July 1, noon to 6 p.m. at the Cottonwood Community Hall. For appointments call Sally Terhaar at 962-3192 or Irma Tacke at 962-3964.
AND be sure you eat iron rich foods so you can donate.
