Local girls compete in Montana
Coyote Mule Company’s Bobbi Jo Gardner and Amber and Mandy Geis went to Drummond, Mont. June 7-14 for Montana Mule Days.
They showed their mules and donkeys on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, collecting 25 ribbons, 9 of them being first place blue ribbons. Mandy received reserve high point donkey award, while Bobbi Jo got champion draft mule in Halter Class.
In Saturday’s parade Bobbi Jo led a team of 8 mules pulling 2 wagons. Mandy and Amber rode on the second wagon.
They competed in many classes, some for mules, some for donkeys. Some of the classes were: Free Style Reining, Western Pleasure, Trail Class, Steer Daubing and Scurry Race.
The had a lot of fun and are looking forward to competing again.
