Notes from Pat
While walking on Main Street this Tuesday morning I want to note that the fall decorations are very attractive.
Most of the posts along Main had a stalk of corn and orange, yellow and red leaves around the posts and corn. Some had flat scarecrows also fastened to the post.
Near the Royale Room a witch missed her turn and is hugging a post.
Also a witch and her cauldron are busy with cobwebs and spiders.
On King Street there are several scarecrows to add to the fall theme. The town looks real nice and the decorations were in place for the high school homecoming parade last Friday.
Business notes: Darcie at the Wilde Country Café (formerly Royale Café) seems to have gotten off to a good start. She plans to be open for both the lunch crowd and in the evenings for the dinner crowd.
The bowling alley is up and running with Rod and Donna Quick keeping the alleys oiled, machines working and providing refreshments. They’re also open for the lunch crowd.
Please tell them hello and welcome to the community.
Time to start checking winter clothes and if you have a coat that is too small, in good shape, please give it to someone who can use it.
All the best to each of you.
