On Thursday, January 20, it will be time to donate blood again. Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood to survive, yet of those who are eligible to donate blood, only a small percentage actually take the time to give the gift of life. Blood comes from ordinary people, just like you, who through the simple act of giving, can help save a life. Please be generous and call Irma at 962-3964 or Sally at 962-3192 to schedule an appointment or confirm the one you made in October. Be sure to eat lots of iron rich foods, such as raisins, cream of wheat, or green leafy vegetable. Many thanks to all of the faithful donors who come every time and give, but, we do need new donors. You must be at least seventeen years old, be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. |
