97 donate blood
Another good and fruitful blood drive.   We made our goal with 97 donors.
The Red Cross is very grateful to our community.  We had four giving for the first time. They were Don Bieker, Jay Hinterlong and Julie Sonnen, who have given other places, but came to us for the first time and Clark Tacke, from the high school. Four other high schoolers came to give again and we are hoping to see many more of you in April at our next drive.
Our good and regular donors are racking up the gallons. Barb Rehder and Delmer Goeckner received 8 gallon pins and Lois Lamont made her 5 gallon award. Gladys Sonnen and Ralph Terhaar have given 4 gallons.  Jean Poxleitner, Marilyn Lerandeau, Chris Remacle and Ken Ross have given 24 times and received their 3 gallon pins. Tom Seubert and Karen Uhlorn made their 2 gallon goal while Tara Ross has given her first gallon.
As usual, none of this is possible without our faithful volunteers. Thanks goes to Mary Jennings, Elaine Schumacher, Merna Gehring, Doris Sonnen, Joyce Bieker, Margaret Stewart, Jeanne Beatty, Anna Gehring and Dolores von Bargen.
And we are mighty grateful to Ralph Sprute, Mark Tacke, Dan Karel, Urban Wassmuth and Curt Terhaar for unloading and loading.  This is truly a community effort for a great cause.
Our next drive is April 7.  Please put this date on your calendar and come and join in the fun   Remember, we never run out of maple bars!
