Boys District to host Kendrick
With the losses to Culdesac and Highland last week the Prairie Pirates finished in fourth place in the South Pod standings and will host Kendrick Thursday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in a District Tournament play-in game.
The winner of that game will travel to either Troy or Lapwai, depending on who wins their game Tuesday, on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. for a first round game in the bracketed portion of the District Tournament.
The winner on Saturday will play the winner of the Culdesac-Genesee game at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21 at the LCSC Activity Center. The loser on Saturday will play at noon on Monday against the Culdesac-Genesee loser.
The tournament will continue on Friday, Feb. 25 with a pair of loser out contests and on Saturday, Feb. 26 with the third place and championship games. The second weekend’s games are at 6 and 7:30 p.m. and are at the LCSC Activity Center.
Three teams will advance to state.

Wrestling District Tournament is Saturday
The District Wrestling meet is set for this Saturday, Feb. 19 at Orofino High School.
Prairie’s six-man wrestling team will be competing with the top 4 finishers in each weight class advancing to the State Tournament at the Idaho Center in Nampa Feb. 24-26.
Anthony Duman, Shane Poxleitner, Nick Uhlenkott, Richard Sonnen, Kenneth Enneking and Logan Lustig will go into action starting at approximately 10 a.m.
Uhlenkott, Poxleitner, Duman and Lustig are returning state qualifiers with Uhlenkott having earned a fifth place medal last season.
