Notes from Pat
Over the weekend the community buried another young person. Last Wednesday morning, Feb. 16, Thomas Nau, 15, of Ferdinand died in a one-vehicle accident near the high school.
Thomas was the son of Susan and Mike Nau. Mike farms near Ferdinand and Susan works at the hospital and is an EMT.
The death of anyone is hard but it is extra hard when the person is just starting life. The big question asked is Why?
I see that Linda is coming back to open the Coffee Mill Creations, a popular spot for the coffee crowd.
The weather for those not on the Prairie has been as usual, a change almost every day as recently we have had snow then lots of fog and now it is getting warmer. Still real short of moisture. We could use some of the rain going to waste in Southern California.
Seniors at the high school have been and are busy filling out grant and scholarship applications as college becomes more expensive each year and the price of books goes up.
All the best and please keep safe.
