Lady Pirates win White Pine League Meet title
The Prairie girls track team won the White Pine League Track Meet held Tuesday, May 3 at Lewiston.
They totaled 155 points to beat runner-up Genesee by 33 points.
Leading the way for Prairie was Nicole Nida who won 3 events while Prairie also won 3 relays.
Nida won the 100 in 12.9, the 200 in 27.2 and the 400 in 1:02.4. 
Also picking up wins were Tabitha Sonnen in the 300 hurdles in 50.3 and Vanessa Sonnen in the triple jump at 32’9”.
Tabitha also took third in the 100 hurdles despite crashing on a hurdle. Her time was 18.0. She also took third in the high jump at 4’4”.
Prairie won the 4x100 relay in 53.1, the 4x200 relay in 1:54.0 and the medley relay in 2:00.0.
Gina Holthaus took third in the long jump with a personal best 15’1” and Kayla Uhlenkott was second in the triple jump at 30’2”.
Charlene Duman placed in two events. She was second in the discus at 102’0” and was third in the shot put at 30’1”.
The boys team took 8th place with Kelby Wilson and J.D. Riener picking up the only top 3 finishes.
Wilson was third in the 800 at 2:11.2 and Riener was second in the discus at 132’11”.

Pirates compete at All-Star meet
Prairie athletes recorded several second place finishes at the All-Star Meet at Lewiston Thursday, May 5.
Nicole Nida took second in both the 100 and 200 and was third in the 400. She had a time of 12.9 in the 100, 27.2 in the 200 and 1:03.5 in the 400.
Tabitha Sonnen was second in both hurdles races. Her time was 17.0 in the 100 hurdles and 49.8 in the 300 hurdles.
For the boys J.D. Riener was second in the discus at 134’9”.
Vanessa Sonnen took 4th in the triple jump at 32’3”.
The 4x100 relay team of Cassie Schaeffer, Gina Holthaus, Nicole Nida and Vanessa Sonnen took third in 53.3. 
The medley team of Schaeffer, Kayla Uhlenkott, Holthaus and Vanessa Sonnen took third in 1:58.8. 
The 4x200 team of Uhlenkott, Holthaus, Tabitha Sonnen and Vanessa Sonnen was fifth in 1:51.9.
The 4x400 team of Uhlenkott, Kayla Lorentz, Randi Schumacher and Tabitha Sonnen was 6th.
Kelby Wilson was 6th in the 800 at 2:11.5.

Regional Meet schedule
The District I and II 1-A Regional Track Meet is set for this Friday and Saturday, May 13-14 at Kootenai High School near Harrison.
Several field events will get underway Friday at 4 p.m. The boys long jump, girls triple jump, girls high jump, boys pole vault, boys shot put and girls discus.
At 4:45 p.m. the girls 3200 run final will be held followed by the boys final.
At 5:20 preliminaries will start with the girls 100 meter hurdles followed by the boys 110 meter hurdles, then the 100 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 300 meter hurdles and 200 meter dash preliminaries with girls followed by boys in each event.
Concluding the evening will be the medley relay finals.
Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday will be the boys triple jump, girls long jump, boys high jump, girls pole vault, girls hot put and boys discus.
Running finals will start at 12 noon and event order will be the same as for the state track meet.
