Foundation to sponsor golf tournament
The St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation will sponsor their Sixth Annual Golf Scramble on Saturday, September 17 at the Grangeville Country Club. All proceeds will benefit the programs and services of SMHC.
A complimentary breakfast will be served prior to the 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. There will also be a free dinner after the event. A number of cash prizes will be awarded, including $400 for first place.
“We’re planning on a nice event that will be fun and provide an opportunity to support the hospital foundation while having a good time,” said Jim May, SMHC Development Director. “We’re also approaching a number of businesses in the area for corporate and hole sponsorships. Our communities have always been very supportive of the foundation’s efforts and we’re appreciative of their involvement.”
According to May, the scramble will feature four person teams. Only one player per team may have less than a 12 handicap as of July 31, 2005. All players must use at least two drives and entries are limited to the first 15 teams that register.
The registration fee is $50 per person or $200 per team. Registration forms are available at each clinic and the hospital’s reception desk or by calling Cheri Holthaus, SMHC, 962-3251 ext. 327.
