sale to benefit hurricane victims
A community wide yard/bake food sale is planned for Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Cottonwood Community Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. You can drop off items for the yard sale at City Hall during normal business hours on Thursday, Sept. 15 or Friday, Sept. 16. All proceeds will be sent to the American Red Cross. Cash donations will also be accepted the day of the sale or you can send a check to American Red Cross, 721 7th Ave., Lewiston. You can also donate online at redcross.org. The City of Cottonwood has donated the rental fee for the Hall and the Lion’s Club will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages with proceeds also going to help the victims.
