Prairie Middle School achieves “Additional Yearly Growth”
Congressman Butch Otter sent his congratulations to Prairie Middle School students and staff on being honored by the State Board of Education for its success in achieving “Additional Yearly Growth”.  This award recognizes the determination that both students and teachers have applied to ensuring there is “No Child Left Behind”.
To be eligible for this prestigious award, schools must significantly reduce the achievement gap between economically disadvantaged and non-economically disadvantaged students, or increase the number of proficient or advanced students by at least 10 percent in any subject.
These standards and others help to ensure students in Idaho and across the nation are learning to the same level as their peers.  Prairie Middle School is being honored for the second consecutive year in increasing the number of proficient or advanced students by at least 10 percent in Mathematics.
