Blood drive set for Jan. 17
Yes, its already time for our winter Blood Drive.   It will be on a Tuesday this time instead of a Thursday.   Maybe this will be a better  day for some of you.  It is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 17 from 12:00 to 6:00PM at the Cottonwood Community Hall.
The Red Cross is asking us to urge you to continue your wonderful support of our drives. Frequently the blood supply is just 2 days away from running out. Your commitment to donating is crucial to many. And we never know who may be needing it.
You donors are members of an exclusive group.  The national average of first timers that return is only 30%.  Our first timers are much better than that and we really need more of you to step up and be counted in this group. Our young people have done such tremendous work this season gathering food, mittens, caps and helping with the distribution.   Maybe now they can see that this is another area where they can really make a difference. The need for blood in America is tremendous.
Ask any donor and they will say it really is a simple thing to do.  So please continue letting our younger donors know that it can become a lifetime action.
We know that many of you rather enjoy coming and visiting with the other donors, to say nothing about the maple bars!
Please call Sally Terhaar, 962-3192 or Irma Tacke, 962-3964 for an appointment.
