Pirates in Action update
As you may know, the students at Prairie High School have joined together to create a community service club called “Pirates in Action.” Our goal is to improve our community through service projects and to make a difference in the world.
Aside from setting a good example for our fellow classmates, Pirates in Action have raised money for the Hurricane Katrina victims, held a Hat-and-Mitten Hayride to collect outdoor gear for the poor, held a “Light Up the Park” ceremony to celebrate Christmas, and cleaned ditches around the city to improve our roads. We have more plans for the coming months and welcome participation and support from the community, so be watching for more updates!
Advisor Lydia Deiss, Vice President Shayla Dalgleish, and Secretary Laura Gehring, collaborate with President Danielle Terhaar. Along with fellow Advisory Board members (shown in picture), these outstanding students work together to decide on group projects and join together to Take Action! If you have any comments or questions feel free to call President Danielle Terhaar 962-3526, or Advisor Lydia Deiss 962-5568
