Uhlenkott ordained on June 8
Ben Uhlenkott will be ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Diocese Ben Uhlenkottof Boise, June 8th at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Boise, Idaho at 7:30pm.  Ben is the son of William and Eileen Uhlenkott of Fenn. His grandparents are Robert and Kathryn Sewell of Lucile and the late Raymond and Hildegarde Uhlenkott.  He graduated from Prairie High School in 1997, attended Lewis Clark State College and graduated with his bachelor of arts in 2001 from Mt. Angel Seminary. He was ordained a transitional deacon in May 2005. Ben graduated from Mt. Angel Seminary, St. Benedict, Oregon May 13, 2006 with a Masters in Divinity.  Ben spent his summers working in parishes in Buffalo, N.Y., Boise, Pocatello, and Aberdeen, ID.  
Ben will be ordained a priest with transitional deacons Victor Manuel and Jorge Ramirez. The readings during the ordination Mass will be in Chinese, Spanish and English, reflecting the cultural diversity of the three men.
Ben will celebrate his Thanksgiving Mass Sunday, June 18 at 10 a.m. in Cottonwood. His friends and family are welcome to both celebrations.
