Tri-Parish Youthn busy in October
The Fall season brings with it beginnings as well as endings as school opens its doors for a new journey of learning, summer enthusiasts embrace he ending of a season of fun in the sun.  With these changes comes the appreciation of all that has happened and anticipation for all the future holds.  Within this mindset we begin another journey of possibilities and opportunities for the youth during the month of October
All High School youth are invited to join their peers in a variety of group sessions led by faith filled adults. These sessions include; bench making/woodworking, scrap booking, Bible study, Renew/life issues, religious study/apologetics, mechanics, jam sessions and community service.  It is not too late to sign up.  For more information call Debbie ASAP or pick up a survey form at the entrance of St. Mary’s Church.  We will begin in November.
We will begin Confirmation classes on Saturday, October 28th at St. Mary’s Church.  The day will begin at 12:00 p.m. with lunch and end after the 7:00 p.m. mass.  If you are a Sophomore or 16 and would like to be Confirmed it is not too late to sign up.  Please call Debbie for more information.  All candidates are asked to bring $35.00 and a copy of their baptismal certificate to the retreat.
On October 4th all youth and adults planning to go to Africa with Father Camillus in 2008 on a mission trip are asked to attend a meeting to organize the German dinner.  We will be hosting a German dinner on October 15th at the KC hall from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  All proceeds will go towards supporting the team going to Africa.
On October 8th the youth will be cleaning up after the Engaged Encounter at the Monastery of St. Gertrudes.  Please meet in the parking lot at the Monastery at 1:15 p.m.  If you need a ride call Stacie Dinning at 962-5373.
On October 11th at 7:30 p.m. we will continue our study on the Book of Job.   On October 14th the youth will be serving at the Groom and Dutcher wedding in Greencreek.  If you are serving please be at the Greencreek hall at 2:30 p.m.
Peer Minister will meet at the JHPB @ 7:30 on October 9th and 30th.  You are encouraged to attend the 6:30 mass prior to the meetings.  You are also invited to attend an organizational meeting for the Idaho Catholic Youth Convention in Moscow on October 7th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  (I will be driving and will leave from St. Mary’s parking lot at 7:15 a.m.)  The Peer Ministers will be leading a Junior High Bible Study on October 25th at the JHPB from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  All Junior High youth are invited and encouraged to attend.
On October 18th we will meet at the Coffee Mill for a social at 3:30.  Bring your friends!  We will have a Renew meeting on the 18th at 7:30 p.m. at the JHPB.  The focus will be on life issues.
On October 28th we will have the Confirmation retreat beginning at 12:00 p.m. We will also celebrate World Youth Day at this mass and Commission those adults or youth who would like to be Eucharistic Minister or Lectors.  Please join us as we come together to celebrate youth within our church as they live out the call of their baptism through commitment and discipleship!
Yes the future does hold many opportunities for grace and blessing.  It is only through the many hearts and hands that these ministries take on meaning.  May God bless you all as your gifts of time become the treasures our youth embrace for a lifetime.
