Summit Girls Takes Culdesac Tourney
With easy victories over Timberline Friday night, and a 41 to 22 win over Deary Saturday night, Summit Academy’s girls basketball team added their 11th win of the season against one loss while carting home the championship trophy from Culdesac’s annual Christmas tourney.
The victory in the championship game was paced by Cori Wemhoff’s 12 points, six assists, and five steals, while Alexa Prigge doubled up with 11 points and 11 rebounds, assisted by Emily Rehder’s 11 points and six rebounds.  Other Patriots in the scoring column included Amber Nuxoll with 2, and Jacquie Lustig with 4.

In the boys part of the tourney, Summit lost a tough contest to the eventual tourney winner Timberline on Friday night, but did come back to record their fifth victory of the year, an easy 54 to 31 win over Logos of Moscow.  Scoring for the Patriots: Joseph Lusting – 1, David Spencer – 8, Zach Frei – 7, Dylan Prigge – 9, Dustin Lustig – 14, Chase Nuxoll – 3, William Schlader – 10, and Josh Frei – 2.
Next action for the Patriots is a home game against Kamiah for the girls, Friday at Prairie High School, then next Tuesday, also home game with Salmon River, boys and girls varsities, again at Prairie High School.
