City Council opens bids
The Cottonwood City Council opened several bids at their regular January meeting Monday, January 8.
They opened bids for a new police vehicle with Joe Hall of Lewiston as the apparent low conforming bid with a bid of $23,017. They received 4 bids.
Bids were also opened to remove the old green storage building. They received 5 bids with Russ Koepke of Pierce being the high bidder with a bid of $2,150.
Bids for the proposed new building were also opened. There was only one bid received and the council accepted the bid from Miracle Steel Structures, Inc., of $85,000 for a building kit. The bid price does not include the erection of the building.
Beverage license renewals for 2007 were approved for Debee Ann and Randy Thompson dba Busdastublup; Fergason Enterprises, Inc. dba Country Haus; Judy and Tim Campbell dba Mini Village and Gary Riener dba Riener’s Grocery.
A permit for 2006 for Colsar dba Royale Room was also approved.

Hinterlong also reported he made an inspection of the well houses and reports the pipes and pumps all look good.
In his sewer report Jim Steinke reported there are no problems at this time and that the DEQ inspection was good.
In her land and buildings report, Shelli Schumacher reported the bell has been remounted near the fire station.
