at CIL Duals in Orofino
The Prairie wrestling team competed at the CIL Duals Meet held at Orofino Tuesday, Feb. 6. It was the last wrestling meet before the District meet which will be held at Prairie High School on Saturday, Feb. 17. Wrestling at 125 lbs. Brandon Poxleitner won by pin over Aaron Tyler of Orofino in 3:26 then lost by pin in 1:31 to Bryan Hughes of Kamiah. At 140 lbs. Ron George won by pin in 1:39 over Zac Carter of Orofino then won 14-4 over a Potlatch wrestler. Also at 140 lbs. Tony Duman lost by pin in 1:11 to Dylan Linius of Potlatch then won by pin in 2:37 over Michael Lacey of Orofino. At 189 lbs. Chance Ratcliff lost by pin in 2:43 to Callen Jackson of Grangeville then won by pin over Danny Dietrich of Orofino in 1:31. At heavyweight Ron Chandler lost by pin to Dennis Wilson of Orofino in 3:08 then lost by pin to George Ash of C.V. in 1:24. Jack George, Tyrell Langston and Jake Wimer were all unable to attend the meet.
