Prairie girls win team title at Kamiah
Tabitha Sonnen won both the 100 and 300 hurdles while Nicole Nida won the 100 meter dash to lead the Prairie girls track team to the team title at an 11-team meet at Kamiah Thursday, April 12.
Sonnen won the 100 hurdles in 17.57 and the 300 hurdles in 50.91. She was also second in the triple jump at 29’5”.
Nida won the 100 in 13.16, was second in the high jump at 4’8” and second in the 800 meter run in 2:38.6.
Prairie also won the 4x200 relay in 1:59.58.
Gina Holthaus saw her first action after recovering from a stress fracture and took second in the long jump at 14’6½”.
Kaylee Uhlenkott took second in the shot put at 34’1½”.
Sienna Benton took third in the 800 meter run in 2:42.5.
Prairie also had two other relays place as the medley team was second in 2:07.99 and the 4x400 team was third in 5:43.31.
In the team score Prairie edged Grangeville 154½ to 148½ to take first place.
For the boys team the only top 3 finisher was Vit Spanhel in the 400 meter dash as he took third in 58.3.
