92 donate blood
At our Blood drive on May 2 we had 92 donors. Two of them came for the first time, They were Louie Poxleitner and T.J. Schmidt. We were pleased with many students and teachers from the high school.
We awarded many gallon pins. Jeanette Kelley received her pin for 12 gallons. Tony Jentges has given 8 gallons. Kevin Rehder received the seven gallon pin. Don Tacke and Chris Kaschmitter have given 6 gallons and Joe Kuther made it 5 gallons. Mary Ann Riener and Delmer Goeckner were awarded pins for giving 4 gallons. Brenda Kaschmitter and Tom Seubert gave 3 gallons. And Ryan Hasselstrom came in dripping wet from track practice and received the one gallon pin. Good work everyone!
Our wonderful volunteers this time were: Marlene Jungert, Elaine Schumacher, Laurine Nightingale, Marilyn Schmidt, Helen Huntley, Merna Gehring, Jane Hoene, Mary Jennings, Connie Uhlenkott and Doris Sonnen.
Helping set up were Ralph Sprute and Chuck Kreautler. Tear down helpers were: Dan and Mike Karel, Vit Spanhel, and Andy and Curt Terhaar.
Couldn't do it without all of you.
But most of all, thank you to all the donors. Saving lives is very important business and we are glad you made it your business. Hope to see all of you and all of you who are thinking, "I should do that sometime! "The next one is July 10, so start eating iron rich foods and come and visit us.
