BLM
hires new Cottonwood Field Manager
Stephanie Connolly has been hired as the new Field Manager for the
Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in the Cottonwood Field Office.
Connolly spent the last nine months serving as Acting BLM Field Manager
in Casper, Wyoming and Ely, Nevada. Prior to her positions
as Acting Field Manager, Connolly served a four-year term as the BLM Associate
Field Manager in Ely, Nevada. Connolly attended the University of
Kentucky where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management.
From 1988 to 1999 she worked for the Forest Service in Colorado, Kentucky,
Utah and Nevada as a wilderness ranger, forester, planner and recreation
specialist, respectively. In 2001 she was hired by Washoe County,
NV to partner with the BLM and Forest Service to construct recreation facilities
on federal public lands using county funds. Then, in 2003 she began
her career with the BLM in Ely, NV.According to Connolly, “I have a passion
for working with communities and partners. I’m happy to be in Cottonwood
and look forward to getting familiar with the partnership opportunities
in this area.”Connolly and her husband Don look forward to getting to know
folks in the community and plan to enjoy all the outdoor recreational activities
available in the area.Stephanie replaces the previous Field Manager, Greg
Yuncevich, who retired in January. |
