Team spots still available
The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation has openings available for four person teams for their eighth annual Golf Tournament on Sunday, July 15 at the Grangeville Golf and Country Club.  The 18 Hole Scramble has a 3:00 p.m. tee time.  Registration begins at 2:00 p.m. Jim May, SMHC Development Director, encourages teams to register for the Sunday, July 15 afternoon golf tournament which features a post tourney catered dinner for golfers and guests.
The $50 per person entry fee includes a catered dinner, greens fees, non-alcoholic beverages and an additional dinner provided for one guest.  All proceeds benefit the programs and services of St. Mary’s Hospital.
“This year we’re adding something different,” said Jim May, SMHC Development Director.  “We’re having a hole-in-one contest.  If someone gets a hole in one on our designated hole they’ll win a 2007 Pontiac Solstice sports car.  It adds a bit of fun and an additional challenge to the tournament.”
The first place prize is $400.  Second place is $200 and the third place prize is $100.  The minimum combined team handicap will be 55 and only one player per team can have a handicap of 12 or less.  Each team must use every player’s driver at least twice.
“This is a nice, relaxed way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon while benefiting local health care,” said May.  “The evening dinner for the players and their guests is  a perfect way to cap a fun afternoon.”
Advance registration can be mailed to SMHC,  Foundation Development Office, PO Box 137, Cottonwood, Idaho, 83522 or by calling Cheri Holthaus, 963-3251 or Stephanie Deyo, 476-0230.
