Softball Tournament Hosted by Syringa General Hospital
When Michelle Schaeffer of SGH Grangeville Clinic found out that the area would not be having a Women’s Softball Tournament this year she asked SGH Hospital Foundation Director Laurie Rockwell and the SGH Grangeville and Kooskia Clinics if they would be interested in making it happen, they, along with the CEO, Joe Cladouhos, said definitely!
So on July 21st the tournament was held at the Lions’ Park in Grangeville. During a tense seventh inning Primeland Corporation team closed in on Bea Street Builders. In the end Bea Street Builders took 1st place by two runs with Primeland Corporation taking 2nd place. The winning team members each received a T-shirt from SGH Foundation, in addition special awards were given to all teams in several categories.
SGH CEO Joe Cladouhos umpired the game while Laurie Rockwell and Dina Cervantes manned the snack booth. SGH Community Relations plans to make this an annual event, so if you’re interested in playing softball next year keep your eye on the…newspapers.
