and Son donate Flag
On July 4 2007 David Sr. and Dean Shears donated a 5 foot by 8 foot flag to the City of Cottonwood for display at the Veterans Memorial at the City Park. Both father and son had been enlisted in the US Navy. 
David Shears Sr. attained the rank of FTG-3 (Fire control technician third class) and was enlisted in the Navy from 1965 until 1969 when he returned to the Cottonwood area. Dean Shears attained the rank of FTC-2 (Fire Controlman second class) and served in the Navy from 1999 until 2006 when he returned to work in the Lewiston area. The City of Cottonwood appreciates the support and donations as well as the service of these men and all veterans that have served our country. |
