drive set for Tuesday
A reminder that the blood drive is coming next Tuesday, October 16 from 12 noon to 6 pm in Cottonwood. We are always in need of blood, and have been short the last couple of times. One of the main reasons so many have been deferred has been low blood iron. It would be a good idea to eat a well balanced diet which would include plenty of red meat, and enriched cereals, such as oatmeal and cream of wheat. Be sure to drink extra water several days before the draw and on the day of the draw. Call Irma at 962-3964 or Sally at 962-3192 to make an appointment. We are encouraging all of you, long time donors, and also any new donors who want to help with this special gift of life, to come and give. Remember, one unit of blood will help three people. Thank you for your generosity in the past and for responding now, when we really need it. Who knows, the life you save this time might be someone you love and cherish. |
