Multi-Hazard mitigation plan meetings set
In early March there are several public meetings planned for Idaho County communities to address the county’s Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Meetings are set for Elk City, Kooskia, Riggins, Cottonwood and Grangeville.
The meeting in Cottonwood will be Wednesday, March 5 at the Community Hall starting at 6:30 p.m. The meeting in Grangeville will be Thursday, March 6 at the Super 8 at 6:30 p.m. The Elk City and Kooskia meetings are set for March 3 with the Riggins meeting set for March 4.
Each meeting will last approximately 1 hour.
These public meeting will address the plan being developed for Idaho County. They are open to the public and will include a slideshow presentation from hazard mitigation specialists on the planning process and the identified hazards and mitigation projects in Idaho County. 
Public input is being sought in order to better frame the County’s efforts of hazard mitigation treatments, resource enhancements and preparedness.
Learn about the assessments of flood, landslide, earthquake, severe weather and terrorism/civil unrest in Idaho County. Discuss your priorities for how our communities can best mitigate these risks.
