Wild Land Fire Safety Training
The Idaho Department of Lands will be sponsoring the 2008 Wild Land Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher Thursday, April 17th, at the Grangeville Elk’s Lodge.  This will be an eight hour course and will start at 8:00 a.m.  The one mile walk will be given at the Grangeville Airport immediately following course completion.  Admission is free and pre-registration is not required.  If you have any questions, you can call Tammy Frost at the Idaho Department of Lands @ 208-924-5571. 

Fireline safety refresher class
The summer of 2007 Wildland Fire season had a major impact on human life, property, and habitat.  It was estimated that over 2 million acres burned in Idaho alone 2007.  Northwest Management, Inc. a private consulting firm in Moscow, Idaho, is involved in many services related to wildland fire.  They have approved instructors on staff to train for the US Forest Service RT-130, Annual Fireline Safety Refresher Class.  This class is required for individuals including truck/bus drivers to go on any US Forest Service wildfire.  A class is scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2008 at 8:00 AM at the Latah County Fairgrounds in Moscow, ID.  Call Diane or Dennis at 208 883-4488, ext. 111 to register or for more information on the class.”
