Historical museum to host state conference
The annual conference of the Idaho Association of Museums will be hosted by the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude on March 27-29. The conference will take place in the Spirit Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude. 
The theme of the conference is built around marketing strategies for museums. Lorraine Hingston Roach, president of The Hingston Roach Group in Grangeville, will be the keynote speaker on Friday with the topic entitled “Marketing Your Museum”. Other topics to be covered during the three days include grantwriting basics, websites 101, design tips for outreach resources, educational programming, and more.
Jan Gallimore, Executive Director of the Idaho State Historical Society, will present a session on the “State of the State Historical Society”. Keith Petersen will also give a report from the Idaho State Historian. 
The Idaho Association of Museums is the professional organization representing museums. Currently there are over 70 museums of varying sizes in Idaho.
