ministry activities for April
As the sun begins to melt the frozen ground and the earth breaks forth with life, we welcome the season of Spring. It is here in the newness of the season we invite the local youth to join us in this months activities. Week 1 – On April 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the J.H.P.B., the Team for Africa will meet. All members NEED to be present. The focus for the meeting will be the upcoming raffle and VISA information. On April 4th, at 8:00 p.m., the youth are invited to the J.H.P.B. to watch a movie. Following the movie we will attend Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Mary’s Church. This is a great opportunity to spend some quiet time with the Lord! Week 2 – On April 7th, the girls Bible Study will meet at Debbie’s office at 7:00 p.m. On April 9th, the entire Confirmation group will meet a St. Mary’s Church at 7:00 p.m. This is the final class. All candidates NEED to be present. Week 3 – On April 14th, Peer Ministers are invited to the J.H.P.B at 7:00 p.m. We are scheduling a session on QPR training sponsored by SPAN-IDAHO. (This date is tentative; if different than above I will contact you and let you know when this training will take place.) Please call Debbie for questions. The Peer Ministers will meet at Debbie’s office at 3:30 p.m. on April 15th to plan the REACH session. Please bring your ideas and thanks for your amazing work! On April 16th the Confirmation Group will meet at St. Gertrude’s Monastery at 3:30 p.m. for the final retreat. ALL CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES MUST BE PRESENT. On April 19th, twenty J.H. youth will be traveling to Sandpoint, Idaho to attend a Catholic Rally. Please pray for our local youth as they join other youth from throughout northern Idaho and focus on the theme of “Respect.” Thank you so much to our chaperones and drivers for their willingness to help with this event! All youth are invited to our monthly youth Mass at St. Mary’s at 7:00 p.m. on April 19th. Week 4- On April 20th, the Community Service small group will meet at St. Gertrude’s Monastery at 1:30 p.m. for the Engaged Encounter clean up. Please call Stacie Dinning if you have questions. On April 22nd, all Confirmation candidates and sponsors are asked to meet at St. Anthony’s Church at 7:00 p.m. for Confirmation Practice. All candidates must be present! On April 23rd, Confirmation will take place at St. Anthony’s Church at 7:00 p.m. All candidates are asked to be present by 6:30 for pictures. Week 5 – On April 28th the Theology of the Body small group will meet at Debbie’s office from 4:30-8:00. Pizza will be provided. Please remember your books. On April 29th, the Peer Ministers will host the monthly REACH session at the J.H.P.B. at 7:00 p.m. All High School and Jr. High youth are invited to the Coffee Mill from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for our monthly social! We would love to see you! As you can see, the month holds many opportunities for involvement.
