Notes from Pat
Good morning. Yes it is a GOOD morning as there isn’t any snow on the ground. Maybe, if we are lucky, Spring has come.
I would like to thank all of the businesses who took part in last week’s “Meet Your Local Business” section. Also thank you to several new businesses who took part this year. If you are interested in taking part in next year’s special section, please let me know at the Cottonwood Chronicle, 962-3851.
A special “hats off” to the Prairie girls softball team who won the district championship Monday evening.
On Thursday afternoon School District #242 and the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce are hosting a barbecue in the park to say thank you to NICI staff for all the work they and the inmates have done around the schools and town. There will be a charge of $5 if you are not an NICI staff member. Rain moves the event to the Community Hall.
With Sunday being Mother’s Day, remember all that your mother has done for you.
The last Friday and Saturday of May will be graduation days for Prairie, Highland and Nezperce. May you each find success in your future.
Please watch for children as you drive around town. The nice weather brings out the bicycles and a desire to cross the street without looking.
All the best to each of you.
