30 to graduate Friday
Valedictorians Sarah Arnzen and Jessica Gehring will lead a class of 30 graduates during commencement ceremonies this Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m. at the PHS Gym.
Salutatorians are Alex Richardson, Tiffany Schaeffer and Ariel Whitley.
Patty Hinkelman, a teacher at PHS, will be the commencement speaker.
Four graduates earned high honors with a cumulative grade point average higher than 3.50 during 4 years of high school. They are Lauren Duman, Brooke Holthaus, Kayla Lorentz and Kim Schaeffer.
Six additional students earned honors with cumulative grade point averages between 3.0 and 3.49. They are Alex Flatt, Carson Heath, Alli Holthaus, Nick Johnson, Calista Karel and Christa Wilson.
The remaining 15 graduates are Alejandra Abrego, Kris Banning, Chantel Boniecki, Kenneth Enneking, Ronald George, Gina Holthaus, Abbi Lustig, Jon Rice, Taylor Rieman, Casandra Schaeffer, Zach Simmons, Jordan Smith, Joseph Trock, Jenifer VonBargen and Jalisa Wright.
The class colors are teal, black and chrome and the class flower is the gerbera daisy.
The class song is “Good Riddance” by Green Day also known as “Time of Our Lives.”
The class motto is: “Our lives are before us, our past is behind us, but our memories are forever with us.”
