Monastery offers retreats
The Spirit Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude will offer two upcoming retreats: “Growing in Faith with Your Spouse”, September 5 – 7; and “Voluntary Simplicity”, September 12 – 14.  Each retreat starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening and concludes at 1:30 on Sunday.
Mary Kay Henry, OSB, Bill and Louise Stolz, and Jim and Mary Jayne Minnette will lead “Growing in Faith With Your Spouse.”  Renewing love and friendship, valuing differences, letting go of hurts, and welcoming new possibilities will be discussed.
Jack McMahon, Pro Bono Program Director at the University of Idaho College of Law School, will guide the “Voluntary Simplicity” retreat.  This retreat will provide an opportunity to stop and reflect on one’s life, focusing on the role of work and money, time and priorities and the possibility of greater simplicity.
For more information or to register, contact the Spirit Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude, 208-962-3224, or by e-mail, retreat@St.Gertrudes.org.
