Letters to the editor from this week's Chronicle:

Dear Warden Guyer at NICI:
I would like to express my appreciation to your staff and work crews from the North Idaho Correctional Institution.  They did a wonderful job of painting the classrooms and interior of the elementary school this summer, and also were a tremendous help in removing the old carpets in the building.  They were very courteous and well-mannered, and the officers did a great job in overseeing the work crews.
I would also like to thank the officer who does the scheduling.  He was eager to accommodate us, sometimes even on very short notice!
One again, we appreciate the service your staff and facility provide the Prairie Schools and our community.
Sincerely,
Gary Blaz

Dear St. Mary’s Hospital Employees,
For the past several years, the employees of St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics have provided several of our students with backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year.  This generous donation is very much appreciated by all of us!  The backpacks are given to several students who are in need of a little extra help, and I know the parents and the students are very thankful for these items.
Please tell all of the employees at St. Mary’s Hospital how much we really do appreciate their generosity and the spirit in which it is given.  You are always there for us and doing great things for our students.
Sincerely,
Gary Blaz

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Bill Sali believes, as I do, in responsible limited-government.  During his 16 years in the Idaho State Legislature, Congressman Sali championed bills which improved the quality of education we provide in our state, fostered growth, voted for lower taxes and promoted ethical government.  During his first term in Congress, Bill Sali was elected President of the Freshman Class of Republicans and has fought hard for the same values and beliefs he championed here in Idaho.
I believe government should be responsive to the people, but limited and ethical.  Congressman Sali shares this belief and has proven it time and time again.  Bill Sali has never voted in favor of a tax increase.  He has received awards from organizations dedicated to responsible government, such as Americans for Tax Reform, National Taxpayers Union, and the American Conservative Union, to name a few.  He is a solid conservative and a man I am proud to call my friend.  I encourage you to investigate Congressman Sali’s record and give him your vote in November.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
I worked alongside Bill Sali in the Idaho State Legislature for many years and I am enthusiastically endorsing his candidacy for reelection this November.  Bill Sali is a staunch conservative who believes in traditional Idahoan values.  Bill Sali was elected to Congress in 2006 and since then he has really been fighting for what is important for Idahoans.  Bill Sali is on the right side of every issue-he is for limited government, lower taxes, better education, he is adamantly pro-life and supports traditional family values.
When we elected Bill to be our Congressman in 2006, he was chosen to be president of the freshman class of Republicans.  His strong leadership has been noted by conservative organizations around the country-he has been endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce, the NRA, Gun Owners of America and the American Conservative Union.  Congressman Sali understands, through his experience here in Idaho, how to achieve concrete policy victories.  In politics actions speak louder than words.  Bill Sali’s 18 year legislative record is absolutely consistent in promoting conservative values and serves as a beacon of hope for those of us who wish put government back on the right track.

During his time in Congress, Bill Sali has been a friend of the Idaho farming and ranching community.  In a show of support for Congressman Sali’s key role in promoting legislation which has helped keep farming and ranching viable, profitable and on the cutting edge of efficiency, we have formed a group, the Sali Farm and Ranch Team.  Our group is dedicated to letting Idahoans know what a valuable asset we have in Congressman Sali, and how we need to keep him in Congress.  The Sali Farm and Ranch Team wants all your readers to know how important it is that we reelect Bill.  Bill has Washington DC.  Bill is an advocate for Idaho agriculture, a friend of our industry.
Bill Sali served in the Idaho legislature for 16 years before being elected to Congress.  During his tenure as an elected official he has always been on the side of the farmer and rancher.  Bill has helped us in many ways.  He voted for federal farm policies designed to keep our businesses profitable and our industry viable.  He has assisted farmers impacted by fires and drought.  He has worked to make sure the government provides funding to inspect potato fields so that we can continue to export this important and  valuable commodity to other countries.  And he petitioned the federal government to make sure farmers are able to use new technology to track water and chemical usage.  In short, Bill’s been in our corner.  Bill understands that agricultural issues are paramount to the economy and livelihood of Idahoans.  Bill Sali has our votes and our enthusiastic endorsement for reelection in November.
