Syringa open house and dessert auction
Syringa Hospital and Clinics will hold an Open House and Dessert Auction from 5 to 7 PM on October 30th in the hospital's Northwest Annex.  The event will showcase the remodel of the hospital's laboratory, which is currently underway.  More efficient working space for staff, improved handicap access and a patient check-in window are a few of the improvements being made to the lab.  During the Open House, guided tours will be offered to anyone wishing to take a look at the renovated lab.  "The lab renovation will be dedicated in memory of Terry Vanderwall, who served as mayor of Grangeville for almost all of his adult life." noted Laurie Rockwell, Syringa's Foundation Director.  "Terry's friends and family donated generously to this project, and will be pleased when they see the improvements to patient care made in the lab", she added.
As in years past, the event will be held in conjunction with Grangeville's Chamber After Hours.  A BBQ will be served, free of charge, to all who attend and the Old Time Fiddlers will be on hand playing toe-tapping favorites.  Desserts will be sold on a silent auction from 5 to 7 PM, with proceeds benefitting the remodel of the lab.
If you would like to donate a dessert for the auction, go to www.syringahospital.org to download a participation form. Questions?  Please contact Jo Anne Smith, Events Coordinator for Syringa, 208-507-0720,  or Laurie Rockwell, Syringa's Foundation Director, 208-507-0439.
