Ministry events for May
Dear youth in Christ, We are at the close of another season as our graduates prepare to step out into the world. We congratulate tern and thank them for their service and presence within our communities and parishes. Please know that we will miss you and that you have made a difference and will not be forgotten! This month's schedule of youth activities provides an opportunity for all of our Triparish youth to grow in faith through fellowship, learning, socials, and worship. Come and see what the Lord has to offer! On May 1st we will begin the month with Adoration at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Church. On May 2nd the Peer Ministers will meet at Debbie's office at 7:00 p.m. to plan this month REACH session. On May 6th the Confirmation class will meet at St. Mary's Church at 7:00 p.m. Please bring your Holy Hero report. We will also have Eucharistic Minister training so if you are in High School and have been Confirmed and would like serve as an E.M. please come to the church at 7:30 to be trained. (We will have a Commissioning ceremony sometime in May). On May 7th there will be a Relay for Life meeting at St. Mary's in the Sacred Heart Room at 7:00 p.m. Call Steven Kinzer for info 1-208-582-2829, On May 11th the Confirmation Candidates are scheduled for individual interviews as they complete their Confirmation process. The interviews will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Debbie's office. Please arrive at your assigned times. On May 12th, Mission Team Tijuana will meet at Debbie's office at 7:00 p.m. Please bring your 2 items for the upcoming raffle. On May 13th the "Theology of the Body" small group will meet in Debbie's office at 7:00 p.m. Pizza will be provided at 6:30 p.m. On May 15th-16th I will be at a YM gathering in Moscow. On May 17th there will a graduation Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10:00 a.m. Graduates please arrive at the church at 9:30 and don't forget to bring your graduation gowns. A reception will follow. Thank you to Arlene Barelocher, Denise Uhlenkott and Nancy Lustig for organizing this celebration for our Seniors of Prairie High School and Summit Academy. Your help is greatly appreciated! Confirmation practice is scheduled for May 18th at St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. All Confirmation candidates are asked to invite their sponsor to the practice if they can't make it please bring a parent as proxy. Confirmation will be held at St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. All Confirmation candidates and their sponsors are asked to be present at 6:30. Pictures for the candidates will be at 6:30 p.m. Please don't be late. A reception will follow the Confirmation liturgy. On May 27th the Peer Ministers will host an end of the school year social at 6:30 at the PFFP building. Food, and drinks will be provided. All High School and Jr. High youth are invited to this celebration. We hope to see you there! Please have a blessed and happy May! Note that this is the last YM article until September. We will continue our small groups and activities when school starts.
