Next blood drive set for July 14
When fall rolls around thousands of people throughout Idaho will be talking about what they did on their summer vacation.  The American Red Cross hopes that most of them will be able to say they “helped save a life this summer.”  This statement will be true if they will take the time to donate blood.
Blood donation often takes a back seat to vacations and other summer activities, and Cottonwood is not alone.  Fewer people are donating blood nationwide, which can cause blood shortages in many states.  The need for blood remains constant throughout the year.
America Red Cross Blood Services collects blood and platelets to ensure patient needs are met year-round.  In order to meet these demands, blood must be available before it’s needed.
Help assure that blood is available when people need it.  Call Brenda Kaschmitter at 962-3251 or Cheri Holthaus at 962-2327 to make an appointment to donate blood at our upcoming blood drive; July 14th from noon to 6:00.  Valid identification is required for all blood donations.
For more information about blood donation or eligibility, call 1-800-448-3543 or visit givelife.org.
