Six vie for 2010 Idaho County Fair Royalty
This year there are six candidates for Idaho County Fair Queen, one from Cottonwood and five from Grangeville.
They are Kristin Hill of Cottonwood and Danielle Reuter, Cassandra Kaschmitter, Mandee Prado, Jill Brouwer and Sheyenne Stewart of Grangeville.
Kristin Hill
Kristin Hill is the 17 year old daughter of Bill and Therese Hill of Cottonwood. She is sponsored by B & R Sales and Service of Cottonwood and has lived in Idaho County for 9 years.
Kristin will be a senior at Prairie High School where she is in involved in P.A.V.E. (Prairie Active Volunteer Effort), Idaho Drug Free Youth, Dance team, track, Prairie League and football and basketball cheerleading. She also was the 2006-07 Miss Prairie. She is also involved in the Emmanuel Baptist Church Youth Group.
Past Fair involvement includes art and food entries
She makes money doing interior painting, house cleaning, lawncare/mowing, baby-sitting, teaching Vacation Bible School and working as a summer school aide.
Kristin’s hobbies inclue scrapbooking, camping, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, working/playing with young children, shopping and participating in Border Days, Nezperce Prairie Days and Orofino Lumberjack Days.
After high school she plans to attend college and get her degree, find a job and a house and once she’s steady in her career, look to start a family.
Danielle Reuter
Danielle Reuter is the 17 year old daughter of Ty and Shannon Reuter of Grangeville.
She has lived in Idaho County all her life and is sponsored by the Barnyard Beastiles 4-H Club.
She will be a senior at Grangeville High School.
She has been heavily involved in 4-H and attends the United Methodist Churches Youth Group. This summer she is volunteering at the public library reading to children also helping with Vacation Bible School.
Past Fair involvement includes 9 years of 4-H. She has had rabbit, Making the Most of Me Phases I, II and II and numerous 4-H hog projects. This will be her first year having a sheep project. She has also attended 4-H camps as both a camper and camp leader and attended teen conference in Moscow. She has also entered open class projects such as oil painting and ceramics.
This summer she was employed as a Sunday School teacher at the United Methodist Church and also helped served breakfast at the Cowboy Breakfast at Border Days.
Hobbies include camping, swimming, tubing down the river, making ceramic pieces, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
After high school she plans to attend Lewis Clark State College and go into early childhood development.
Cassandra Kaschmitter
Cassandra Kaschmitter is the 15 year old daughter of Andy and Wendy Kaschmitter of Grangeville.
She has lived in Idaho County all her life and is sponsored by Camas Gravel.
She is a sophomore at Grangeville High School where she plays basketball, is a football cheerleader. She is also involved in youth group, 4-H and FFA.
Past Fair involvement includes horse and 4-H market lamb projects. In horse 4-H she presented at the horse show and also did a record book.  In market lamb, she raised a lamb for 64 days and presented and sold it at the Fair and also did a record book.
She babysits for her parents and friends of the family and also works for her father on the ranch.
Hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, volleyball, basketball, swimming and dancing. 
She plans to attend LCSC for social working.
Mandee Prado
Mandee Prado is the 14 year old daughter of Junior and Laura Prado of Grangeville.
She has lived in Idaho County for 3 years and is sponsored by Moody Construction of Lewiston.
She will be a sophomore at Grangeville High School where she is in the GHS concert choir. She has played volleyball for 4 years, basketball for 5 years, soccer for 3 years, ran track for 4 years and took softball for 1 year. She also participated in a youth group.
She hasn’t been involved in the Fair before but is looking forward to it this year.
She makes money babysitting.
Hobbies include singing, writing, reading, playing sports, and having a fun time hanging out with friends.
She hopes to attend Boise State University and become a pediatrician.
Jill Brouwer
Jill Brouwer is the 17 year old daughter of Jim and Bonnie Brouwer of Grangeville.
She has lived in Idaho County all her life and is sponsored by Gregory FitzMaurice, P.A., of Grangeville.
She will be a senior at Grangeville High School and is on the GHS cross country and track teams. She is also a senior class officer and a member of the National Honor Society. She also participates in the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene youth group.
She previously won a blue ribbon for a scratch art drawing she entered and has also attended the fair since childhood.
She works as a waitress at Oscar’s Restaurant in Grangeville and also does lawnmowing and housecleaning for various people in the community.
Hobbies include dirtbiking, camping, fishing hunting, leatherwork, drawing, painting, photography, hiking and most anything outdoors.
She plans to attend Lewis Clark State College and study forestry.
Sheyenne Stewart
Sheyenne Stewart is the 15 year old daughter of Daniel and Laurie Stewart of Grangeville. 
She has lived in Idaho County her whole life and is sponsored by C and R construction of Cottonwood.
She will be a sophomore at Grangeville High School and has been involved in volleyball, track, basketball and student council at GHS. She is also involved in 4-H and attended 4-H camp as a teen leader.  She has duties in various LCSC Family Education Programs, participated in the walk for mental health awareness and the community resource fair.
At the Fair she is in her 7th year of showing a market lamb with the Fenn Livestock 4-H Club.
To make money she has done lots of babysitting, house sitting and lawn mowing.
Hobbies include going to the river, hanging out with friends, jogging, working with her lamb, playing basketball, drawing, reading, watching movies and photography.
She plans to go to college and pursue a career in the medical field.
