Prairie Horizons
Dutch Oven Cook-Off and
Movie Night in the Park
Several people enjoyed the movie ET on July 31st.  Thank you to the community members who came out to support our fundraising effort to renovate the Community Center Hall.
We will be showing “Horton Hears a Who” on Wednesday, August 19th after the fashion show.  It will be shown in the park just as the other movies.  Everyone is invited to come.  Remember to BYOC (bring your own chair).    The movie is free and there will be concessions available at $1.50 each.  Donations are gladly accepted.   All proceeds will go towards the renovation of the Community Hall.
Besides the movie on Wednesday the 19th, one movie is planned for August 28th.  It is “The Bee Movie” and is rated PG.
There is still time to register for the 2nd Annual Prairie Horizons Dutch Oven Cook-Off being held in Cottonwood’s City Park during this year’s Idaho County Fair.  Set aside Saturday, August 22nd to cook your favorite dishes.
This year’s categories for judging include Main Dish, Side dish/Bread, Dessert, and Taster’s Choice.  Prizes will be awarded in each category.  You may enter one or all four categories.
For more information and to register, please contact Barb Michels at (208) 962-3408 or email her at barbmichels@connectwireless.us .  This fundraiser also benefits the Cottonwood Community Hall renovation.
